First three weeks!
Taylor is having an awesome experience in the Missionary Training Center in Provo. He has been there almost three weeks now! He is working harder than he has ever worked in his life, and learning so much. His Spanish is coming along. He is understanding and speaking the language better every day. His companion and him have a good time together, and it sounds like he has made some dear friends already. He brags about being "feared" on the 4 square court! He has gym time 5 days a week and 4 square is a favorite activity (who would've thought?). He says the food isn't all that bad...they get ice cream from the creamery two days a week, and that's a highlight. He is immersing himself in the experience, and learning and growing so much!

How This Thing Works
Hey everybody! For those of you who don't know, I have been called to serve a 2 year mission for my church in El Salvador and Belize. The purpose of this blog is to keep you updated on what I'm doing down there. E-mails that i send to my family will be posted here. However, i would still like to hear from all of you personally! I want to know what's going on in your lives, and I promise that if you write me i will write back as soon as i can! Details of my address are on facebook as well, but i'll post them here to just in case :)My address in the MTC (until the end of October)
Elder Taylor Brooks
MTC BOX 272
El Salvador San Salvador West/Belize Mission
Provo Missionary training Center
2005 N 900 E
Provo, UT 84604
The easiest way to write me would probably be through dearelder.com. It's easy enough and when I'm in the MTC I will get the letter the same day that you write it. While I'm in the MTC you need my MTC Box which is 272 and my departure date which is 10-26 Throughout my mission, dearelder.com is the best way to write. It'll take a little longer to get, but it is still an easy way to write me.
Here's my address if you want to send it through pouch mail. With pouch mail it has to be a single sheet, folded into three-panels and taped at the top only (no envelopes). The advantage to sending it through pouch is it only costs a regular stamp.

Here's my actual address in El Salvador. I'm told it costs about 98 cents to send a letter directly there.

I would love to hear from you!
